What is the Shuffle?
This year the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce is hosting our 3rd Annual Red Carpet Gala, a black-tie event on the evening of May 18th. With this special event, as we have the last two years, we hope to include as many of our Chamber member restaurants and caterers as possible. We want to offer you a unique opportunity to be showcased in the food portion of the evening by being featured in our 3rd Annual Chamber Chef Shuffle.
The Chamber will feature our fantastic professional and amateur chefs who are members of our Chamber of Commerce, as you serve up samples of your fabulous food fares for guests. Chefs are asked to serve 3-5 of your favorite dishes for a variety tasting. Chefs will need to submit a menu of your planned menu offerings to the Chamber, to ensure the diversity of the options and non-duplication of items.
The Chamber will give each participating chef a $300 “buy-in” to cover a portion of your costs. Chefs will be asked to serve from 6 pm until 9:30 pm. We encourage you to work with your food vendors and suppliers to get food at little, to no cost. We want this to be cost effective for you, but we also want this to be your opportunity to SHINE at this special community event! For each chef the Chamber will provide an 8′ table, a sign for your table with your logo, linens, plates, napkins and flatware. You will be responsible for any specialty service items you intend to use (i.e. small cups for serving a certain item, etc.). No drinks will be needed, the Chamber will handle all beverage requirements.
For your participation, we make a commitment to you as well. The Chamber will featuring each chef on our event website (olccredcarpetgala.com), press releases, newspaper advertising, radio advertising, and on social media. We want you to get the most out of this experience!
The deadline to submit the Commitment form is Friday, April 28, 2017. All chefs will be notified of menu recognition, acceptance, or proposed changes if needed.
